New Norcia

A very interesting place northeast of Perth about 1 1/2hr drive away. You go through the Swan Valley and pick up nice and fresh fruits and veges along the way. New Norcia is famous for their monastery and bakery especially their olive bread and nut cake. It is the only Franciscan monastic town in Australia and a great place for a day trip. It is highly recommended.

Tagging and Social Bookmarking

Today I had my training with Kathryn about Tagging and Social bookmarking. These tools are going to benefit academics and post graduate students in keeping their research organized and sharing their information to others with similar interest. For practical application of those who are passionate with their hobbies, they can refer to other people's tags.

RSSS Feeds

I am still finding out what this technology is all about as I don't use it in my work at present and also in my personal life. However, it is very interesting that as I am going along, I am coming across things here and there to make me aware of what the technology is all about and what is involved and it is very interesting. I find the huge amount of information I receive is just overwhelming. If I have more time, confidence and enthusiasm in knowing more of the technology, I would enjoy using it.

Learning is never too late for a baby boomer like me. So I just keep on persevering with boldness and with my confidence building up little by little, I hope to be able to enjoy the technology I am learning now and put it to good use in the future both at work and in my personal life.

My Goals Towards The Completion of The Project

To maintain a positive and cheerful attitude in doing all the task required to do.
To explore the different ways of doing the task using the different tools of technology.
To be focused on the weekly things to do and set aside time each week to do them to finish on time.
To become more confident in the use of the knowledge and skills learned.
